About us
Grenland Dyrepensjonat was built in 1973, and the facility has had three changes of ownership. In the fall of 2006, Magne Henne took over the operation of the guesthouse again. He has also run the guesthouse for several years previously.
The guesthouse currently consists of 1 kennel section, 4 cat houses, 1 bird house and also a section that has space for small animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, etc.).
The kennel section has space for 34 dogs. Each dog gets their own box inside, with a bed and clean blankets every day, their own run and of course access to water 24 hours a day.
The cat houses have space for a total of 45 cats, each of whom has their own cage with a climbing frame, bed, sandbox, their own outdoor cage and of course access to food and water 24 hours a day.
We have several rabbit cages inside and also a large outdoor cage with two runs, which we put out on the lawn in the summer. All the cages are completely secure, so no animals can get out.
All of our animals in boarding are taken in in the evening, regardless of the season.
Magne Henne also breeds German Shepherds under the kennel name: Kennel Beibar.
We have many years of experience and expertise with dogs, cats and small animals.
And we go to great lengths to give the animals the very best stay we can.

Prices
All prices are per day, including food.
Dog 350,-
Cat 225,-
Rodent 225,-
A discount is given if you have multiple animals of the same species, i.e., two or more dogs or two or more cats.
For rodents, the price is 225,- for the first one, then an additional 100,- per animal.
Special food must be provided by the owner. No discounts are given for this.
We maintain a flat rate throughout the year, meaning we do not extra during holidays and peak seasons.

May 17th, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve we only have an early opening. Otherwise, it is normal opening hours all year round.
Important information
- Dogs and cats MUST be vaccinated before arrival! We reserve the right to refuse you if you arrive without a valid vaccination.
- We take prepayment. In case of early pickup, you will not be refunded any outstanding amount.
- If your dog or cat is on special food, this must be brought with you. There is no discount on the price for this.
- Rabbits and other rodents must bring their own pellet feed. We provide hay and vegetables.
- If the dog or cat needs medication, we will of course provide it, if the animal can be handled by us.
Meet us
Magne Henne
Magne is the manager here at the house, and has run the guesthouse for many years. He has a special team with all the animals, both big and small. He is also responsible for the birds that visit us.
Vivi Storruste
Vivi is our dog sitter. Her responsibility is to make sure the dogs are clean and tidy, that they are pampered and cared for, and that those who need it get a bath before they go home. Vivi is a dog person in the truest sense of the word.
Vibeke Solberg
Vibeke is the cat sitter on site. She takes care of all the cats and rodents that visit us, making sure they get proper care and lots of cuddles.

Our experience and expertise is very extensive when it comes to ensuring that your animal receives the best care and supervision possible. We go to great lengths to ensure your animal's best well-being!
At the guesthouse, one of us is always present 24 hours a day, so you can feel completely confident that there is always staff at the facility.
